Sustainability FAQs
How do you package and send your greeting cards and fine art prints?
We are proud to package and send using only compostable and recyclable goods. We use home-compostable cellophane bags, biodegradable EnviroBubble bubble wrap, as well as biodegradable sticky tape to help orders arrive in the best condition. Where possible we always use cardboard or paper mailers, to ensure we keep our environmental impact to the minimum.
How much water does your home decor and fabric printer use?
Our production partner works on a digital print on demand basis, designed to minimise wasted fabric and ink. Colours are mixed from between 4 and 8 basic colours as the fabric is printed, and there is no wet post-processing - so no water consumed during printing.
A traditional 5 yard / 4.5m section of fabric usually uses around 200 litres of water to produce. The same length of fabric printed by our production partner uses less than a thimble.
All inks and dyes go through rigorous testing for harmful chemicals (such as formaldehyde and lead) and have been found safe for infant use. Wallpapers are printed using water-based latex inks that carry the GREENGUARD Gold certification.
