The Made Local Market

Gosh, that was a ride! Months ago, I signed up to take on my first two-day market, with The Made Local Market - formerly Etsy Made Local - at the RNA Showgrounds in Brisbane. For weeks, I’ve managed to jam-pack weekends, spare hours, nap times and any days off with as much art and making as I could! I’d hoped to complete a handful of new artworks by the time the weekend rolled around, and managed to paint five originals, and four clocks… phew.

Set up came around on Friday, and I spent houuuuurs organising my little part of the world as a ‘shop’ of sorts. I’ve long wanted to have my own retail space, and for the first time it really felt like it, with a gift wrapping station, and shelving as well (handmade, too!)

Thank you to anyone who visited, and so much to those who purchased a gift or something for themselves. Supporting small businesses like mine is so wonderful, and so appreciated by owners and makers.
